Day 4 working for Corel Painters dry brush mimicking some of the amazing things i've seen Sinex do. Making some progress and trying a different tact.
Trying not to blend so much. I'll spend hours and hours trying to blend, and i've really taken a step back and work a lot of my colors manually and then just use the blend to make them gel smoother rather than trying to turn everything into a smooth gradient. I actually like hard brushes more than soft.
As for the composition, I always wanted to do a comic but still feel i am not up to the task, so I thought well what if you just did a comic before the comic you know...like a comic to practice on. Well needless to say these characters are the pre-pre-pre comic characters to the comic. All the other ideas I had were too amusing and amazing to blow IMHO.
So anyways Highschool Rumble is the comic I will take a stab at for a few chapters this is just me practicing some extreme perspectives and painting in one. These were the miniboss characters I came up with that the hero of the story would have to fight.
The Fury -
I liked the idea of a guy who could punch so hard he literally blew his uniform off. Like everything from the shoulder on down just shredded.
The Kisser -
The kisser is a girl who is famous for knocking out teeth with the strength of her leg kicks
The Jerk -
The dirtiest fighter in all the land, no target too honorable, no blow to low.
